Custom Millworker

MLT Woodworking is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Millworker to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced woodworker who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and enjoys building high-quality, custom architectural millwork and woodworking projects.

The Custom Millworker will be responsible for taking projects from drawings and specifications through fabrication and assembly, producing finished work that meets exacting standards for quality, fit, and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, plans, and project specifications
• Fabricate custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, built-ins, panels, doors, trim, and other custom woodwork
• Accurately measure, cut, machine, assemble, and install wood components
• Operate woodworking machinery and power tools, including table saws, panel saws, shapers, routers, sanders, and other shop equipment
• Perform precise joinery, fitting, sanding, and assembly
• Work with a variety of hardwoods, veneers, plywood, MDF, laminates, and other materials
• Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency
• Troubleshoot fabrication and fitting issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with other millworkers, designers, project managers, and installation teams
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining MLT Woodworking's standards for craftsmanship and quality

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, or finish carpentry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, and fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction plans
• Proficiency operating standard woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
• Ability to accurately measure and work to tight tolerances
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
• Experience with custom or high-end millwork is a plus
